Elinor Nauen was kind enough to stop by our office yesterday to donate her copy of the previously missing issue #177 of The Poetry Project Newsletter.
The Poetry Project is still missing 11 issues of the Newsletter, including #’s 100, 103, 139, 148, 164, 165, 168, 173, 192, 194, and 195,necessary to have a complete run for our in-house archives. If you are the lucky owner of one of these AWOL issues and would like to either donate or lend us your copy to digitize and return, please email info@poetryproject.org.
We are tremendously excited to announce that The Poetry Project and PennSound have collaborated to make the cable access TV show Public Access Poetry (1977-78) video archive available online. 31 of the episodes are currently viewable via PennSound and The Poetry Project’s website. Visit either website for more info on Public Access Poetry.
The Poetry Project is currently seeking $3,500 in funding to have the remaining 15 open reel tapes transferred to digital files/DVDs to complete this project and make this valuable archive available to the public for the first time. If you are interested in making a contribution toward this effort, please make a donation designated to the “Public Access Poetry Fund” via our NYCharities website.
